Brian Gardiner has packed up more than 20
years of eco-luxury hospitality experience in Africa and brought his
vision to Machaca Hill. Born in Zimbabwe, he has worked throughout South
and East Africa managing safari companies, including Abercrombie & Kent’s
Sanctuary Lodges & Camps in East Africa and Botswana, focusing on
luxury environmental escapes. Under Brian’s guidance, Machaca Hill Rainforest
Canopy Lodge has undergone significant upgrades and improvements—with
even more to come. Brian’s passions, conservation, sustainable tourism
practices and intuitive personalized hospitality, are at the heart of
his vision for what constitutes memorable experiences for Machaca Hill’s
